To the National School Climate Center Community:

At NSCC, we are dedicated to ensuring that every school is a safe, supportive learning environment where all young people can thrive. In today’s complex, challenging world, schools are looking for help in creating an environment where they can fully engage students.  We are grateful to all of our school partners, research teams, and financial supporters.  Without you, none of this would happen.

As a nonprofit organization, the National School Climate Center relies on community support to ensure that cost is never a factor for schools and individuals seeking our school climate survey or leadership program. Please consider an end-of-year tax deductible donation, whether $10, $100, $1,000, or $10,000, which can enable NSCC to provide scholarships and no-cost surveys, reaching more young people and educators.

Your belief in our mission helps make schools better for children, educators, and families across the country.  Since 1996, the National School Climate Center has supported millions of students, school staff, and families in making schools safer and more attune to the needs of young people. This past year alone, NSCC engaged over 10,000 people through school climate leadership programs, workshops, webinars, bullying prevention resources, and our social inclusion research in partnership with Special Olympics. Many also participated in our signature school climate surveys that guide meaningful improvements in schools nationwide.

The research tells why our work is so essential: Schools that focus on creating a positive climate see significant benefits: school safety rises; bullying decreases; mental health support for young people improves; and teacher turnover drops. Students are more engaged; absenteeism falls; and families feel more confident in their children’s well-being. At NSCC, we work alongside schools and districts to create lasting impact for students, school staff, and families.

Thank you for your generosity and your belief in our work. Together, we can build brighter futures for our students, one school at a time.

Sincerely,

Christian Villenas, PhD & Adam St. Bernard Jacobs, Co-Executive Directors
